GIRL SCOUTS - SPANISH TRAILS COUNCIL TRAINING POLICY: "All adults who accept positions in Girl Scouts - Spanish Trails Council must take training for their current position within three (3) months of their appointment. Persons not taking training within three (3) months of appointment will be considered for replacement." This policy is consistent with and reaffirms the G.S.U.S.A. policy found in Leader's Digest, Blue Book of Basic Documents.
Welcome to Training at Girl Scouts - Spanish Trails Council
The Girl Scout volunteer is the most important adult in Girl Scouting, and that is YOU! You are Girl Scouting's direct link to the girls. The responsibilities are great; however, you will find the awards are even greater.
The structure of Girl Scouts - Spanish Trails Council is designed to provide you with the support and the help you need to do your job, and training is one of these supports. Training is the key to quality leadership and we look forward to providing you with a satisfying training experience.
Girl Scouts - Spanish Trails Council is fortunate to have a dedicated group of volunteer trainers to provide training opportunities to your 3,000+ adult volunteers. We know their enthusiasm and expertise will make your training experiences worthwhile.
Council Trainers work together to set up classes to meet the needs of the volunteers. These classes are listed on our online training calendar at www.gsspanishtrails.org (you can choose a particular calendar by using the links above or via the navigation menu at left (under Training)). This calendar is updated as new dates are added. You can also receive the training information from your neighborhood training promoter.
If you have any questions or comments about training, please feel free to contact the Council Service Center at (909) 399-0808, (626) 331-7325, or (562) 693-0268. We look forward to hearing from you. Again, thank you for agreeing to be a Girl Scout Volunteer.
