The Girl Scout Program

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. The program provides school-age girls with opportunities to make friends, explore interests, gain self-confidence and learn life skills.

Girl Scouts is a place where girls discover the meaning of fun, friendship and power of girls together. It's a place where girls feel free to express themselves, to excel and to experience new things. It's a place where girls grow strong.

Girl Scouting helps guide girls on their journey toward a successful future.

Girl Scouting is for every girl, everywhere. Girls, ages 4-17, of all ethnicities, religions, socio-economic backgrounds and abilities are encouraged to join. The only requirement is that they accept the Girl Scout Promise and Law. Girl Scouts continues to have a non-discriminatory policy in all facets of the organization, including girl membership and volunteer participation.

Girl Scouting builds leaders, one girl at a time. Through fun and enriching activities, in a safe and supportive environment, girls are empowered to believe in themselves and in their potential.

Girl Scouting opens up a world of opportunity for girls. In partnership with adult volunteers, girls explore interests, envision their future and learn to make a difference in their community. From computers to theatre arts, architecture to environmental education, girls have fun while learning and earning badges and Try-its, gaining skills and self-confidence along the way.
