Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteerism is the lifeblood of the Girl Scout Movement. You can make the world better.

Girl Scout volunteers, nationwide, are more than 900,000 strong! Volunteer opportunities are plentiful. You can help with a troop by becoming a leader, troop assistant, driver, camping coordinator, or by sharing a skill. You can be part of or assist with mentor programs, coordinate events and activities, provide office support, do data entry, train volunteers, or assist with mail production, service projects, or fund raising. Just choose how you'd like to participate. Even if you give only one day a year, you can make a difference.

"I enjoy volunteering for Girl Scouts because I see first hand how I am making a difference in the girls' lives. I see how girls make friends in a positive and nurturing environment. Not only have I seen positive changes in their lives, but in my life as well." They are happier and confident.

Remember the people and places that helped you become the person you are today? Young people in your community are searching for clues about who they can become.

Girl Scouts-Spanish Trails Council will work with women and men to match your skills, willingness, and available time (no matter how small) to an appropriate volunteer role. Experience is not required. Volunteers who work directly with girls are asked to complete an application and provide three references.

If time is an issue, become a member of our Volunteers Projects Committee. The Volunteers Projects Committee members may not have much time on their hands, but have important talents to share with girls and other adults. Volunteers Projects Committee members are listed in a database at the Council Office under areas of interest, you will then be contacted as needs come up. Training may be available in some areas for those who want to learn a new skill.

To request an informational packet or interview about current volunteer opportunities, internships/externships or to register with the Girl Scouts-Spanish Trails Council, please call:
